  1. Wonderful woman and my first major crush though I was too young to understand what I was feeling. Very sexy and that voice could reduce any man to jelly.
The above clip is wonderful and so full of sexual tension. Tonight is going to be a Bacall night: Key Largo, To Have and Have Not, The Big Sleep and the under-rated Dark Passage.

  2. Well done, Lauren. Rest in peace. Due to the passing of Robin Williams, the media paid little attention to the passing of this brilliant actress, Lauren Bacall. May her memory be eternal!

  3. Loved this quote in the Guardian newspaper.
“In old age, she raged against what she saw as the mediocrity of contemporary Hollywood, as represented by everything from the career of Tom Cruise to the Twilight movies that her granddaughter dragged her to see. “She said it was the greatest vampire film ever made,” Bacall recalled. “After the film was over, I wanted to smack her across the head with my shoe.”
Instead, Bacall bought the child a DVD of FW Murnau’s 1922 classic Nosferatu. “Now that’s a vampire film,” she told her sternly”.
