I am  celebrating this evening, as I just found out that I have been longlisted for Best Arts & Culture Blog in the Irish Blog Awards! I was excited enough to be nominated, but to be longlisted is a real honour.

I join a great list of other blogs including some of my favourites –  Tales from the Landing Book Shelves, No More Workhorse, Women Rule Writer,and my old pal and partner in Begorrathon, The Fluff is Raging.

A Shortlist will be announced on September 2 and all shortlisted blogs will then be up for a public vote before the ceremony on October 22.

I’m just delighted to be in such good company so I’m going to relish this for the rest of the week…..

I’m also celebrating this evening as it is Mr B and I’s tenth wedding anniversary so I think it’s time to crack open the wine and get this party started……well, as much as you can when you know that two four year olds are going to be bouncing on your head at 7 in the morning!
