20 Books of Summer 2016!
1 summer.
96 Days.
20 Books.
6060 pages.
63 pages a day.
Will this year finally be the year I complete my 20 Books of Summer challenge?
From now until 5 September I will be attempting to read my 20 Books of Summer. Why not join in with your own 20 (or 10, or 15!), read along with some of the books or just cheer me on as I try and get that dreaded 746 down by another 20 in just 3 months.

Here are my 20, all by women writers this year:
The Lottery by Shirley JacksonSmall Island by Andrea Levy- Bogeywoman by Jaimy Gordon
A Spell of Winter by Helen DunmoreThe Age of Innocence by Edith WhartonThe Diving Pool by Yoko OgawaApple Tree Yard by Louise DoughtyBlue Nights by Joan DidionI Am No One You Know by Joyce Carol OatesThe Keep by Jennifer EganA Crime in the Neighbourhood by Suzanne BerneThe Republic of Love by Carol ShieldsThe Bottle Factory Outing by Beryl BainbridgeMy Lover’s Lover by Maggie O’FarrellHunger Makes Me A Modern Girl by Carrie BrownsteinGeek Love by Katherine DunnSister by Rosamund LuptonSpecial Topics in Calamity Physics by Marisha PesslMoon Tiger by Penelope Livelyreplaced with Solace by Belinda McKeon

Now, anyone who knows me, knows I am flexible with rules, so I may swap some books for something else during the course of the challenge and I will be keeping reviews short and sweet for the sake of my sanity!

I am a 40 something book buying addict trying to reduce the backlog one book at a time!
Read the Diving Pool–it’s still with me. Very odd, but beautiful in some way.

Yes, I find that with all her work.

Would you add me Cathy? Four down, with another four halfway through. Having said that, my original list numbered seventeen and I’ve read five (I think!) others that weren’t on the list, so not doing too bad! The thing is, the books I feel like reading change from day to day! 😼 I’m such a fickle reader! Not even tackled reviews, but I’ve got plenty of notes, thankfully! Be interested to see what you made of A Crime In The Neighborhood – I read it a while ago and really enjoyed it!
