Just a couple more days to go until 20 Books of Summer kicks off – are you in?
There is still time to join in with the fiendishly difficult, but famously easy-going challenge where you pledge to read 20, 15 or 10 books from 3 June to 2 September.
I can’t wait to get started.
In previous years, I’ve come to realise that the reading of the 20 books isn’t actually the hard part, it’s the reviewing where you can come unstuck.
In theory, 7 reviews a month should be wee buns, but I know that life doesn’t always turn out that way. it also doesn’t help that I will be off on holiday in Crete for a week in June and will have a few other weeks off to spend time with the kids in July and August.
BUT, I am determined to complete the challenge for the second year in a row. Shorter reviews may be the key here, but I’m hoping to get loads of reading done over the next few weeks and plan 1 – 2 reviews a week.
Anyone else have any strategies up their sleeves? I’m thinking of kicking off on Monday with Tipping the Velvet – but maybe I should start with some slimmer volumes and give myself a head start!
Remember to add your list to the linky in my Sticky post – there are 65 of us taking part so far! And also don’t forget to tweet your progress #20booksofsummer.
Thanks to all who have signed up so far and to everyone else – what are you waiting for?!
I am a 40 something book buying addict trying to reduce the backlog one book at a time!
