Sunday Praise: What’s Made Me Happy This Week?
- I managed to have a coffee with a good friend before everything closed up again for two weeks and it was nice to feel briefly normal!
- The brilliant Stephen Sexton, who I have raved about before on the blog, has only gone and won the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature 2020 for his first collection, If All the World and Love Were Young. The Rooney Prize is awarded for an outstanding body of work by an emerging Irish writer under 40 years of age. Delighted for him!
- Well, hello Gabriel…

- The Christmas Chronicles 2 is here! Who knew that Kurt Russell would make the best Santa?
- I’m in love with my new Daily Planner which I’m saving for 2021. Because things have to get better at some point don’t they?
- We put the tree up this weekend! It’s a bit earlier than usual, but I think we need to get the tinsel and lights out and try to celebrate! My Pacman Arcade decoration always takes pride of place 🙂
So, what in your life deserves some praise this week? Let me know in the comments!

I am a 40 something book buying addict trying to reduce the backlog one book at a time!
It looks like you had a pretty good week, quite the accomplishment in these dismal times. Love the planner — it almost makes me want to get organized (I’ve given up hope in this department) and am deeply, deeply envious of that Gabriel Byrne signature (he’s one of my favorite actors). May your next week contain as many joyous moments!

I do love a scented candle! I bought myself one too this week – Pomegranate scented, it’s lush!

Isn’t it the best? I was a little arcade kid back in the 80s so I love it!

I also had a great week and posted my Positivity Post on Friday. I love that you got a signed copy of Gabriel Byrne’s book, have you read it yet? Enjoy the upcoming week Cathy.

I hope you get a chance to get to it sooner rather than later. It is also on my TBR pile and I am curious what others think.

We had a busy week with a Thanksgiving celebration (just our family, though). It was a lot of cooking but I’m thankful I got to see all our children and I’m also thankful for the turkey soup we had tonight! I love your planner 🙂

On our run yesterday my friend and I loved seeing Christmas trees in windows and decorations out, it really lifted us. So I heartily approve of the last point!

It has been lovely hasn’t it? We might as well enjoy it while we can!

That Pac Man ornament is awesome!!
We were not able to eat outside one last time before our shutdown. It’s all rather depressing. I feel very sorry for the owners and the staff they had to lay off because of it. It’s so dumb here because we are shut down but restaurants in the next two cities are not so my neighbors go their to dine and then come back here. How does that keep anyone safe?

It’s all so random isn’t it? It’s quite frustrating. Stay safe!
