Novellas in November: The Halfway Point! #NovNov22
Well, in a flash, we are suddenly halfway through Novellas in November, hosted by myself and Rebecca at Bookish Beck and what a great month of reading it is turning out to be!

So far, we have had a whopping 78 reviews of novellas from all kinds of genres. You can check out all the posts on my pinned post here.
If you have reviewed for Novellas in November and don’t see your review listed, please do drop me a message and I’ll rectify immediately!
Given the amount of interest, it has been quite full on so far, trying to keep up with all your fantastic posts, so apologies if I have missed anything, or not commented as much as usual.

We have also had quite a few reviews of this years Buddy Read – Foster by Claire Keegan:
Davida at The Chocolate Lady’s Book Reviews
Don’t forget, you can read Foster online here if you want to join in.
Coming up this week, we are focusing on Short Nonfiction, so why not dig out some nice short nonfiction books and double up on Nonfiction November as well!
Thanks to everyone who has taken part so far and here’s to the next few weeks!

I am a 40 something book buying addict trying to reduce the backlog one book at a time!
It has gone by fast, hasn’t it?! Thank you Cathy and Rebecca for hosting it!

Wow! I had no sense of how many posts had gone up so far. That’s fantastic, and such a variety when I look through the list. I think at this point last year we might have been up to 100 posts, but that was mostly thanks to Simon reading a novella a day in November 2021! I expect we’ll nearly match last year’s totals by the end. Thank you again for looking after the links and social media. I’ve retweeted a few things but it was too much for me to keep on top of.

Don’t be worrying at all Rebecca, it’s all ticking along nicely 😊 And yes, Simon certainly helped our stats last year 🤣

I’ve scheduled a review of Vita Sackville-West’s Nursery Rhymes: an Essay for tomorrow, although 70 pages long a surprisingly quick read!

Excellent Chris, I’ll keep an eye out for that.

I’ve only managed reading so far, no reviewing. I haven’t even done my ‘these are my ridiculous piles of novellas’ post. It didn’t help that I had a 360-page ARC to finish (760pp. on my reading app!). Review of that also pending! I need to plan in some writing time, but I have so many lovely books on my piles.

The reading is often the easy part, isn’t it?!

I’m out of sync as I have a novella in translation to review probably tomorrow and then I should have some nonfiction ones to do next week. I need to concentrate on my AusReading Month books but they’re quite grim reading from the looks of it and I’m doing well with the NetGalleys, so should get some more short stuff in, too … Well done for getting such a good reaction. I’m copying your main post with a list idea for my Dean Street December challenge.

Thanks Liz, don’t worry about the weekly themes, any novella is a good novella!
