I am a 40 something book buying addict trying to reduce the backlog one book at a time!
Hooray! Looking forward to it Cathy. My current plan includes Molly Keane and Anne Enright (chipping away at the TBR…)

I’ve never been organised enough to join in before, but this year I’m planning to read The Lonely Passion of Judith Hearne in March and possibly one of the many William Trevor books I’ve put on hold at the library! Looking forward to reading everyone’s posts.

I’m just writing about this with a link in my State of the TBR post, and I’ll be reading Kate O’Brien’s nun-based novel “The Land of Spices” and the novella “Small Things Like These” by Claire Keegan which I know the whole WORLD has already read. Hope it all goes well!

Thanks Liz, I’ve only read one O’Brien before (the Ante Room) but really liked it, so look forward to hearing what you think about The Land of Spices

Happy Reading Ireland month, Cathy. I am going to try and read a few of Patricia Gibney’s series as well as The Queen of Dirt Island by Donal Ryan. I also hope to watch The Banshees of Inisherin. Then we’ll see what else I fit in. Enjoy your month, Cathy.

I’m afraid I’ve only potentially got two ‘classics’ by two white men, but they’re both goodies – Heaney’s translation of Beowulf and C S Lewis’s Till We Have Faces. Hopefully I’ll get through both before the end of the month. 🙂

Ah now, two greats! Heaney’s Beowulf is fantastic.

Not sure if it qualifies but “Ulysses” has been on my recommended list for some time no, and I have just downloaded it to my e-reader.

I have Ulysseys in the 746 and know I’ll have to read it sometime, but I just keep putting it off!
